I’ve had the pleasure of working with many amazing families over the years. One of my favourite returning clients, Christie, recently contacted me to schedule a 6-month beach sitter session for her beautiful baby girl, Ella. As with all my clients, I was excited to capture some special memories for this family.
To make the most of the session, we decided to meet down at the Strand early in the morning. We knew that the Townsville sun can be unforgiving, so we wanted to take advantage of the cooler temperatures before the heat of the day set in. As we arrived, we were greeted by the peaceful sounds of nature and the warm light of the rising sun. It was the perfect setting for capturing beautiful images of Christie and Ella.
As I began to capture Ella, I couldn’t help but think back to when I first met her in Mum’s Tummy then again as a Newborn. It’s amazing how quickly time flies by! Now, here she was, sitting up and exploring the world around her. We moved around, capturing the beautiful greenery and various backgrounds available at the Strand.
From the moment Ella was born, I have captured every stage of her growth, and now, at six months old, we add another set of beautiful images to the collection. I’m sure that as Ella grows older, she will cherish these memories of her early years.
As a photographer, I believe that photos are more than just images. They are memories captured in time, frozen for a moment and preserved for generations to come. When you look at a photograph, you are instantly transported back to that moment and all the emotions that come with it. That’s why it’s so important to capture those special moments in life. It’s an investment in the future, a legacy that you can leave for your family and loved ones.
