As a family photographer, I often get to capture special moments and create lasting memories for families to cherish. The Pates family session on Magnetic Island was no exception. The late afternoon sunlight was magical as we made our way to Geoffrey Bay. It was a perfect day for a beach session, with four different families joining together for a fun-filled day of capturing memories.
There were lots of grandparents and grandkids present, which made for some truly heartwarming moments. I love seeing the bond between generations and capturing that in my photographs. We started with some group shots and then broke up into smaller groups, capturing candid moments of each family interacting with each other.
Magnetic Island is truly a gem and it was a wonderful location for this session. Being just a short ferry ride away from Townsville, it’s a perfect spot for a family day trip or a weekend getaway. The island has so much to offer, from beautiful beaches to walking trails and wildlife encounters. It’s no wonder it’s such a popular spot for family photography sessions!
